What we store

When you create an account we store your email address, the name you enter, your language choice, a securely encrypted password and the time of sign-up and log-in. We do not see your password.

Why

Only to give you access to the map, to send emails needed for your account (confirmation, password reset) and to answer your messages. We do not sell your data and do not use advertising trackers.

Service providers

Supabase stores accounts and data, on servers in [region, e.g. Frankfurt, Germany]. Cloudflare delivers the website and fetches the weather forecast from MET Norway for everyone at once, so no data about you goes to MET Norway. Resend sends our emails (account emails and the monthly update). swisstopo delivers the map images and Wikimedia (Wikipedia) the tree photos; your browser connects directly to their servers, which see your IP address. Google Fonts delivers the fonts. If you open a link to Google Maps, Google’s privacy policy applies there.

Monthly email

Members receive a monthly email about ripe fruit. You can switch it off at any time under “My account” or with the link in every email.

Advertising

Ads on this site are marked as advertising. We count how often an ad is shown and clicked, without cookies and without storing who saw or clicked it.

How long

As long as your account exists. You can delete your account yourself under “My account”; your data is then deleted immediately. Backups of the database are overwritten within 30 days.

You can ask what we store about you, have it corrected or deleted at any time. Write to .

Browser storage

We store your login and settings (language, filters) in your browser so you stay logged in. These are not advertising cookies.
